Custom connector baskets#
The connector basket holds the probe’s connector/EIB while the drive sits in the case or on the stereotactic adapter. Probes differ: some have an Omnetics connector bonded to the flex cable, others an electrode interface board. We want to make different versions of connectors available to the community, including the ones you develop. So get in touch if you have a version you’d like to share.

Choosing a basket#
Pick the basket that matches your connector/EIB. It should hold the connector without stressing the flex cable, so the flex-tension adjustment on the case and the adapter stays effective.
Designing your own#
You can adapt a basket to your own connector. Keep the interface to the steel rod unchanged: the Ø1.75 mm rod bore and the M3 set-screw hole. Change only the part that holds the connector.
To print your own basket, or to shorten, lengthen or bend its stainless-steel rod to suit your flex cable, see Basket customization in the Assembly guide.
